Property sales jump 27% in January says Move with Us

Property specialist Move with Us, who work with hundreds of independent, accredited estate agents across the country, has reported a year on year increase in house sales in January of 27%.

The firm claim that in addition to actual sales, general interest in property is also increasing as can been
seen in the fact that traffic to their website in January is up 16% from Nov and 40% from December.
Robin King, Move with Us Director, said:

“It is terrific to be able to report an encouraging start to 2011 with an increase of almost 30% from this
period last year. Our findings come on the back of a recent poll of almost 700 estate agents conducted by
the National Association of Estate Agents where both buyer and seller activity in January enjoyed a
surge. Reports on the housing market tend to focus on small fluctuations on house prices but we feel that
activity levels offer a more poignant and illustrative view. House prices falling by as little as 0.1% tends to
result in doom and gloom but these figures demonstrate that house prices are at a level where both
buyers and sellers are comfortable to agree a sale.”
