Local company raises money for charity

Property specialists Move with Us, based in St. Ives, have been busy raising money over the past few weeks.

The culmination of this saw the Move with Us football club challenge the rest of the company to a football match in aid of charity on Sunday 30 January. The rest of the company team, aptly named Move a Side, were the underdogs on the day and proudly won with a score of 3-1.

The match was hard fought with both teams rising to the challenge ahead. The teams managed to raise over £750 for the charity from various different drives, including a sweepstake for the first goal scorer, the half and full time scores. A number of staff members also contributed prizes to a raffle that included Chelsea and Ipswich football tickets as well as signed football shirts.

Robin King, Move with Us Director commented “We had a great day with family and friends coming to support both teams. We employ over 300 people in the South Cambridgeshire area who all contribute to the various charity events that we hold throughout the year. The real winners were the charities that we support.”
